Amplify Local Music.

For Dayton, By Dayton is a one-day music festival built around one big idea: giving local talent the big stage they deserve.

Starting at Riverscape MetroPark in 2019, 4DBD has brought together musicians from across Dayton and the surrounding communities—artists representing every genre, from hip-hop to rock, folk to funk. It’s a festival created for our city and by the people who live, work, and create here.

Now in its sixth year, 4DBD has grown from a grassroots passion project into a signature summer event hosted at The Levitt Pavilion. What started in 2019 with 700 attendees has since welcomed thousands of people throughout the years, as well as dozens of musicians!

But this isn’t just about music. It’s about celebrating Dayton’s community spirit—the strength, resilience, and creativity that define our city. With food trucks and family-friendly activities, 4DBD is a place where neighbors connect, artists shine, and the city comes alive.

Our Mission

To elevate local sound by supporting Dayton musicians, and to create an inclusive, all-ages experience that showcases the best our community has to offer.

Why We Do It

Because we love Dayton.
And we love music.

We believe our local musicians are world-class and deserve the spotlight. And we believe in the power of music to bring people together.
